Not knowing the directions around Boca Raton was the best thing that happened to me since coming here, as I mistook ATT Deerfield for being the closest mma school to my house. Not only did I find a great teacher in Master Rafael Rebello, but also a dear friend. When he first greeted me in my tryout class, I felt right at home. In addition to ATT Deerfield’ s fun family atmosphere, there are several things that set it apart from the rest. To begin with Master Rafi has a clear plan for each month and structures the class around a specific set of techniques. He also explains the techniques clearly and adjusts them to suit all the different levels in class. There are also several classes during the day and throughout the week, so you can pick those that best fit your schedule. This also means that the classes are small, which allows you to watch Master Rafi break down the technique from every angle. Most importantly, there is enough room for everyone to roll under his watchful supervision. And the adjustments he tells you to make while rolling become part of your game that you would never easily forget. Although I wasn’t sure that jiu jitsu was for me when I first began training, I can confidently say that Master Rafi has got me hooked on it! I’m also taking Muay Thai classes with coaches Luciano Macarrão and Amanda Gaveas, who are masters of their art. They put a lot of time and effort to weed out incorrect technique that I learned from other schools and have made this class one of my favorite activities next to jiu jitsu.
To me ATT Deerfield is more than just an mma school. It’s my home away from home.

I have had the pleasure of training at American Top Team for 10 months now and have to say that it has been an amazing eperience. Mr. Rafael Rebello is an outstanding teacher and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner. Mr. Rebello is very patient and thorough in the application of instruction that he gives. His attention to small details and body position mechanics and placement has allowed me to develop beyond my initial expectations. He is honest, patient, respectful, humorous, and has a level of integrity and energy. Mr. Rebello readily gives feedback and is always willing to go the extra mile and meet the students as needed. I got to know Rafael after 2 months of training, when he became my BJJ trainer. His desire to transfer experience to every person on our team was magnificent. He was attentive in explaining every movement & question asked. The strongest quality he showed me was team spirit. Never in my life had I felt so much support. My 1st competition came only several months after. I lost my 1st grapple, and Rafael reminded me that I should never give up. When I entered a second grapple 2 hours later, Rafael gathered our entire team, and I heard 20 voices of support. I was able to achieve victory within 10 second of the end of the round because my spirits had been buoyed

I have had the privilege of knowing Rafael for 5 years. In that time I have gotten to know him, not only as a fighter and teammate, but also as a friend.
He is an excellent BJJ practitioner and coach, as well as, a stand out Mixed Martial Arts Fighter in his weight division. His commitment to excellence has become more and more apparent to me throughout the years in his unwaivering work ethic. Rafael is always at the ATT Coconut Creek facility, where all the professionals on the fight team train, improving himself on a daily basis. Every morning I go to the gym to train and I know I will see him there hard at work. I always look forward to seeing him because he is a very positive and upbeat individual.
Being the great teammate that he is, Rafael has always been there to help me in preparation for my fights. Whether it be with some sound BJJ technical advice or just supportive words of encouragement to help motivate me, he exemplifies to me what a teammate is all about. He is very unselfish and gives a lot of himself to the team and his students.
The example Rafael sets with his good character, work ethic, and positive attitude make it easy to see why he is so highly respected amongst his peers. Anyone who is lucky enough to train and learn from him will surely benefit to the fullest.
