About Us / Instructors
As you might have guessed, I am Brazilian and in my country you either play soccer or you study Jiu-Jitsu.

At the age of 12, I started my life-long passion and dedication to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. By the time I was 14, I was successfully competing in national events in Brazil. Three years later I was traveling the world to compete in International competitions in the United States, Europe and Asia. To date I have competed in over 100 tournaments and am proud to say that I am a World Medalist, a two-time Brazilian Champion and multiple time Rio De Janeiro State Champion, and I am a current WEC veteran fighter.

In 2002 I was accepted into the Brazilian National Freestyle Wrestling team and in 2005 I proudly received my black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. That same year, I decided to take things to the next level and I fought my first MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fight.

Ever since that pivotal decision in my career, I have not stopped! My last fight was in 2009 where I defeated Dietz, a fighter whom I admire greatly and who, up until our fight had an undefeated record. He was and still is one of the toughest opponents that I have ever fought.
I proudly train under the American Top Team flag and fight for the WEC in the bantamweight division.
As a fighter, you never stop learning, evolving and upping your game. My next fight is scheduled for later this year where I look forward to bringing home another win!
